Summer Connections

Traditionally, summer is a time when Renewal activities slow down due to travel and vacations. To keep the community spirit alive during this season, we’re hosting volunteer-led “Summer Connection” events that encourage community and connection while our Community Groups (CGs) are on pause. If you’re looking for ways to meet new people, these informal events are a great opportunity to connect with others.

These events are hosted by members or regular attenders of Renewal, providing a chance to engage with people outside of your Community Group while CGs take a break. Feel free to sign up for as many events as you’d like! A variety of events will be available, and if you’re interested in hosting one, please fill out this form. The events will run from June through the end of August.

Ongoing Summer Connections

  • Looking to get active this summer? Join the Renewal Bike Brigade! We will be hosting a series of bike rides along the two trails throughout the summer, guided by experienced bikers. We are still working out the exact dates, but please sign up to stay up-to-date on the dates when we’ll be biking. All experience levels are welcome! No capacity limit. Please complete the waiver included in the sign-up form. Sign up here to get updates: https://forms.gle/9tp79sotwr7Wq1ax6

  • Thank you for your interest in running with the Renewal family. Whether you’re just starting out or training for your next marathon, our Saturday morning meetups are for everyone. Join a crew of about 20 Renewal members so far for tempo runs or easy jogs in good company. No pressure, just people who enjoy hitting the pavement together. Come as you are, run at your pace, and connect with fellow runners.

Our first running session for the summer will be in May 31st at 9 AM. We will be having more running sessions on a biweekly basis. Aside from running, let’s connect some more and hope to hear from everyone! If anything arises, please contact Kenji Fong (98kfong@gmail.com) or Hanaro Kim (hanaroemily@gmail.com). Reach out and get added to our group chat we have running on Facebook Messenger.
